Swift Shocked and So Are We

Any time Taylor Swift accepts an award, and let’s face it that’s been happening a little too often, she acts so surprised. Maybe she and I share the opinion that it has been going on for too long. It was no surprise to me when she started winning after Kanye West interrupted her. She instantly became the sentimental favorite for the media and a sure conversation starter.

Last night the awards just went a little too far giving her the Grammy mega award of Album of the Year. I just don’t think her album compared to the other artists who were nominated including Beyonce and Dave Matthews Band.

You can watch her performance with Stevie Nicks last night and get a taste of why I don’t think Swift is up to snuff when it comes to winning such an award. Please don’t get me wrong though, I do think she is talented. I just think it’s happening all a little too fast for her and that when she does put out a best Album of the Year, she would have passed by her media hype. Who knows though, she keeps surprising me, so I guess I should just wait and see.
